Down the Boulevard of Broken Dreams, hang a left at Lonely Street, cross over Memory Lane to the wrong side of the tracks and there you are - DEXTERVILLE. This mongrel trio of roots-music enthusiasts have joined forces to create a melodious cacophony of sound that blends everything from backwoods country-blues and sinful rockabilly rave-ups to jazzy jump-swing tunes and haunted, tearful crooner ballads into an exciting cabaret act/variety show/rock concert that reinvents and reinterprets, rather than simply rehashes, the cobweb covered, long forgotten genres of America’s rich musical history. The trio of Dexterville have rocked many entertainment centers all over, taking on musical forces and packing in devoted fans.

Dexter Romweber - Guitarist, vocalist and mad genius behind the legendary Flat Duo Jets. They spat out primitive rockabilly, raunchy rock-n-roll and hopped-up swing from the mid 1980’s until recently and were a profound influence on an entire generation of rockabilly revivalists and neo-swingsters. They churned out nine critically acclaimed releases, appeared on the David Letterman show and shared the stage with such underground luminaries as Iggy Pop, Keith Richards and admitted longtime Dexter fans, Beck and the Cramps. Dexter has also released a highly praised solo anthology of recordings called Folksongs.

Jonny Cecka - Frantic stand-up bass player and architect behind the celebrated Richmond, Virginia-based "Swing-Noir" combo, The Useless Playboys. They were one of the first bands to combine juke joint jump and swing with smoky crime jazz and a touch of David Lynch creepiness, all filtered through a punk rock sensibility. In his long and checkered career in music, Jonny has shared the bill the likes of the Fleshtones, the Raybeats, El Vez, Reverend Horton Heat and vintage rockabilly queen, Janis Martin. He also composed the soundtrack for the independent feature film, Chesterfield.

Crash LaResh - Mysterious drummer-for-hire who’s lent his uncommon talents to a motley assortment of trashabilly psychos, garage punk dropouts and unclassifiable performance artists to numerous to list. He first teamed with Dexter in the mid 1980’s and they played off and on as a duo whenever the Flat Duo Jets were on hiatus. Renown for his homemade, bric-a-brac trap drum kit, his homebrewed, primal junkyard rhythms and his homegrown, gravity-defying pompadour hairdo. Crash produced and directed a few popular underground short films in Athens, GA. during the 80’s, including the Flat Duo Jet’s video, Murderer on the Loose.
