Sony TV (1, 164, 3, 151, 119)
Sony TVs are quickly becoming more complicated. There are now 4 device codes being used in
the
There’s also the weird 26.26
codes. I think these are for the DTV
tuner portion of some early model HDTVs.
Hopefully someone out there could clear up some of the obsolete,
foreign and teletext codes, or anything I don’t know what it does as listed in
the chart. If you know any more codes,
e-mail me!
New are the plasma TV codes.
Olive = obsolete
Orange = foreign
Magenta = Plasma TV

I have discovered on Remote Central
that the Normal and Wide discrete HD mode codes do work on at least some U.S.
models. If one of them works you can use
macros to get the others. I still don’t
know if all HDTVs can use these codes or whether the others are on some U.S.
HDTVs.
Also note that command 61 will not
toggle the “16:9 Enhanced” mode on Sony WEGA non-HDTVs for the U.S.,
unfortunately, since this is a much requested feature. This function (as of now) can only be done by
stepping through the menu, and many people are forced to use a long and
frequently unreliable macro. It does
work in equivalent European TVs, from what I’ve heard.

Sony:3 (teletext special device)
This device code only works on foreign TVs. Note that device 3 does not include the
device 1 codes like I said before! Dave
Spagnol misinterpreted his results from learning. Only the teletext codes will work under this device.

Some .ccf files say that 77 and 78 are PIP Zoom Left and
Right. Is this only in foreign TVs, and why
are there 2 sets of codes for these obscure functions?

Why did Sony put some of there newer functions here, and some on
