rab ROCKABILLY MAILING LIST (Unmonitored Version) The Rockabilly Mailing List is a forum where like minded individuals, like yourself, can come together and discuss any and everything having to do with the rockabilly lifestyle. Everyone is welcome and the only rules are no flaming, no spam, and no binary files. This list is free wheeling and basically unregulated, so hang on for a ride!

WARNING: This is a VERY high volume list! I recommend that you use a web based email for this list, like Yahoo Mail.

rockabilly The original Rockabilly Mailing List. Bertrand Kohler of France founded the Rockabilly Mailing List in 1995, five years before the turn of the Millenium. This list is a meeting point for all the 50's rock'n'roll and rockabilly addicts. You can use this list for sending us info about the next gigs in your area, writing some gig reports, talking about the bands you dig and about the bands you dislike... In fact all the subjects related to the rockin' scene and 50's life style are welcome. Keep on rockin.

hillbilly The Hillbilly Music Mailing List was created to provide a forum for intelligent discussion of traditional country, bluegrass, southern rockabilly, honky-tonk, western swing, old time, and other related forms of culturally southern music. This music was called Hillbilly Music by the press in the 1940s and 50s and many of us still embrace that term. Discussion of past and present artists is encouraged. The list is archived so as to provide a reference source for posted information in the future. The list is not a place to discuss Hot New Country, non-southern Alternative Country, psychobilly, or other non-traditional musical forms. The intent of this list is to fill a perceived gap between country-l, the rockabilly list, and Postcard 2. The list is intended to be a friendly place and there are no hard and fast "rules". We just hope that list members will stick more or less to the above guidelines as to the content of their posts.

NYC-rab Welcome all metropolitan NY (and Mid-Atlantic and Northeast) Rockabillies. This list is our opportunity to create a great RAB scene in the Metro NY area and the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Please feel free to discuss upcoming shows, bands, venues, related records and lifestyle issues. This list will do it's best to uphold the Charter of the Original Rockabilly Mailing List which was started in the early 90's by Bertrand Kohler and hosted in Strasbourg, France. Below you will find that charter: "This list is a meeting point for all the 50's rock'n'roll and rockabilly addicts. You can use this list for sending us info about the next gigs in your area, writing some gig reports, talking about the bands you dig and about the bands you dislike... In fact all the subjects related to the rockin' scene and 50's life style are welcome. Keep on rockin." A few general rules: TRY to keep the flaming to a dull roar ;-) and please don't send any attachments to the list! Thanks!
